November 5 - December 5, 2008.Students in the new foundations course Time Arts recontextualized objects and remnants from material culture to create small scale installations inside the display cases in the foyer of the art department. The installations critically explored the contexts, associations, and roles of collections in society, both personal and institutional. Students came up with a theme for their installations based on objects and information they gathered in the world that incited their curiosity and ignited their process of inquiry.
